This case is awesome! Like others have said, it has a slight rubbery feeling to it. It is a hard shell case but the texture makes it feel luxurious. I got the dark gray, almost a space gray color, and it is just translucent enough to see the apple illuminated when my mac is powered on. The fit is perfect. It was a little tricky getting all of the tabs to snap into place but that ensures that it will be secure. It is super thin! You don't have to worry about this making your Macbook pro bulky. It is beautiful and protects my macbook pro from any dings or scratches in my travels.
