I was looking for a belt that either had a basketweave construction or one that looked like it was. This is the latter and it's a pretty thick piece of leather and appears to be well-made. My only issue is that it's more orange in color that I would like. I was expecting a more tan coloration as I wanted a belt to match a pair of shoes. Other than the color, I like the belt.
