I set together a machine with an AMD FX-8350 processor and an ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 motherboard specifically for testing purposes (overclocking, etc.). In open space, where temperatures typically hover between 29 and 31 degrees, I opted to purchase a zalman cnps9500a cooler. Temps of 48-50 degrees with a full load. Also, the Intel Core i7-3770K and the AMD FX-8350 were equally fast to me. Percent is acceptable for the budget. So, if you're wealthy or just a huge Intel supporter, you're in luck. the Intel Core i7-4960X Extreme Edition is the processor for you.
