1. Smells like gas. Or I'm too suspicious, but that's unlikely, because when the gas runs out and you have to temporarily switch to an electric stove, there is no smell! Out of harm's way, I just shut off the gas bottle. And in defense of this stove, I can say that everyone smells! Friends have a different stove, and it also smells of gas. Apparently, this is the imperfection of the hoses. 2. Over time, the rounds on the burner got dirty and are no longer rubbed off with anything.
