I’m a breast cancer survivor & had flaps from my stomach taken to reconstruct my breasts. This left me with pointed wings right in the muffin-top area on both my hips. I’ve also recently gains some weight, so the muffin-top has been a bit worse lately. I tend to like men’s underwear type panties, but I needed a wider waistband that fit up higher, so I found these & thought they were perfect. They are great, but I’m a little disappointed in the elastic on the waistband. The photos make it look like the whole grey band is the elastic waistband (to me anyway), but the grey is just knit like the rest of the panties with a 1/4” wide strip of elastic sewn into the top edge. For me, that keeps the panties up where they belong, but the difference in give from the elastic band and the grey waistband is enough to cause a bit of bulging where I’m trying to limit bulging. Plus, my scars in those areas are sensitive and the more narrow strip of taut elastic causes more irritation/pain than a wider waistband would. I still really like these panties, but I think I will probably look for some with a wider elastic strip to distribute the pressure better.FWIW I’m 5’6” & 160 lbs. I bought the medium size and they fit me quite well without being either too tight or too loose. These also don’t seem to give me a wedgie as often as other panties, but I do still get some wedgies, but it think it’s just the shape of my rear & the way I move.
