Few years ago purchased an ant-fatigue mat from WallyWorld, was made in the USofA from recycled tires IIRC. Must have been uniform in composition, not a foam sandwiched between rubberized sheets and had a very good firm feel, extremely comfortable to stand on for hours. But my chemical-phobic tenants threw it away and is no longer available at Wally's. Recently was experiencing foot pain from cycling so purchased a couple different brands of this newer type of mat as trial replacements. In comparison to my first, solid rubber mat, the HemingWeigh (what a stupid name) feels disgusting to my bare feet, like I'm sinking into it — it's so soft and squishy. Of course some might like that sensation, and I guess the mat would be effective in relieving standing pain for many individuals. Cannot vouch for its efficacy in that regard though because as it happens, by the time this mat was delivered all my foot pain had subsided on its own. But will certainly be looking elsewhere to complete the rest of my kitchen's work stations.Edit: Eating a little crow now because I did purchase two more of these despite not liking them alll that much. Simply could not find anything else comparable in the same dimensions needed to fit my kitchen and the HemingWeigh is indistinguishable from all the competing, pricier mats. Sigh. Still wish it were a lot firmer.
