I got my first one and was all set up to anodize for the very first time and it wouldn’t work. The Voltage test per the hard to understand instructions would only go to 4.5 VDC max. Not 30. Sent it back via Kohl’s return (which is great but not very much fun as would be anodizing!)(that doesn’t sound right). Number 2 was better. The instructions don’t talk about anodizing and I guess I don’t expect them to but, come to find out even though you set the voltage to say 15V, once the circuit is connected the CC light comes on and the voltage does what ever it wants to but the current is adjustable to what ever I want (calculated by the area of the parts. The plug-in calculation is on line…….somewhere). So I didn’t know that. But I found that on line too. I don’t know if that’s the way it’s supposed to be but it worked. Another thing I found out about anodizing is that if I string two parts on one wire, the second part may not take as well as the one closest to the alligator clip. Path of least resistance? I guess. My "fiery red” dye only came out baby pink and I think the one that was on the end of the double wire one was less than that pink. But….it was my first try. I used the directions on the dye for mixing and it still didn’t look deep enough. I’ll review that one on Ebay too. I added more than it asked for and still didn’t get the fiery red. I bought some Blue….try it next time.Second time was much better. I left the parts in the lye longer. This batch came out very deep red! Very happy. And I turned the amps up about 1/3 more than the formula worked out to.
