This is an incredibly useful product especially as my eyes have gotten older. It used to be I never needed reading glasses. Now even with reading glasses there are times when I can't read the fine print in things like instruction manuals. This product solves that issue.There are two different ways that this magnifying glass can be set up. One way is with the clamp that can go on the edge of your desk or work bench. The other way is with the weighted base. I prefer the weighted base. That way it's easy to move to another area. The weighted base is plenty sturdy on a flat surface and the gooseneck holds the glass securely wherever you place it.I keep this handy on my desk with the built in light powered by my computer. It has a USB plug as well as an adapter for a wall outlet. The cord is about 5 feet long. The light has nine levels of brightness as well as 5 different color temperatures.Occasionally I have to solder very small wires and the magnifier really comes in handy there as well. I agree with some other reviewers that the glass itself is a little small - about 3.5 inches in diameter, but it's fine for my purposes. I never realized how much I needed something like this. It works best in conjunction with my readers.
