I've been putting it to use on the racetrack for the past couple of years now. The most fundamental disadvantage is that it works late on such radars as "Kardon," which look in the back; by the time the warning is activated, you will already have caught up with the radar. This does not usually function well on the first try. Because of this, the system is not perfect and has both advantages and disadvantages. At this point, I would go with something different, such as Neoline.
