Not the same centerhole as before?

This was a reorder of a previously bought filter. The older type has a ½" center hole. The newer type has a 1" hole. Not a huge deal but it lets water bypass the filter.

Got it for the cat and she loves it now it gives her fresh water every time

Минусы

Could potentially introduce new contaminants into the water.
