This is the second batch of sisal at this size, length & from same source. I bought it for 2nd time because I liked it from using it previously. It is sturdy & a great width & length but unfortunately there were several areas of an orange-red discoloration throughout that give it a "dirty” appearance. This was not known until it was opened up & unwound to be used. I don’t know what those discolorations are, I just hope it’s not something bad. I have included a photo for you to see what I’m talking about. I can’t "send it back” - it’s not the type of thing you can easily do that - you only know about it when you unwind it & use it. Suggest that the seller advise as to what these discolorations are & to do some quality control. I’ve redone a cat scratching post with this sisal & like I said already, I hope this is ok & is possibly just a fluky thing in the manufacturing of it.
