When my wife asked me to purchase an electric blanket, I thought it was for her, so I chose something a bit more luxurious than I would choose for my dogs, who ended up being the intended recipients. On one particularly cold night, I decided to risk the wrath of my Bassett hound and cuddle both of us up under it. I don't like electric blankets. They're always too hot, and you can feel the wires, making the blanket feel stiff. I had none of those issues. This was an incredibly soft, flexible, and useful blanket that varies from mildly warm at its lowest setting (85°F) to a human slow cooker at the warmest (110°F) Fortunately, I've never needed to set it above its second setting. If you need a soft, versitile electric blanket -- and are willing to fight beloved family pets for the use of it -- I can't recommend this highly enough.
