These are beautifully designed and easy to install if you're handy with a drill and have knowledge of working with walls. Best idea is to actually cut your drywall and add wood backing above your headers, then repair the wall in preparation for installation of the barn doors. Otherwise, you will have to attach a back board that sticks out from your wall, because the hardware holes for screwing it to the wall are located at specific fixed intervals--they're not movable to wherever your beams/framing might be located inside the wall. It's worth the work! These are incredibly sturdy and well-made! Also remember that with any double-barn-door setup, you'll need to run a router across the underside of each door and affix the door glides to the flooring so that the doors don't bump against each other. If not, the door on the outside track/rail tends to lean inward at the bottom. Sounds a bit tricky, and it is, but a carpenter will understand. Remember also that when both doors are pulled closed, the door on the outside track/rail is about 3 -3/4" away from the wall; whereas the door on the inside rail is much closer 1 1/4" from the wall. Single track/rail barn doors move along the same line and same distance from the wall. I still love these double-ones because the doors can stack in front of each other, but when both doors are slid in front of the wall opening, my cats squeeze thru the gap created by the door on the outside track/rail to make appearances on my office Zoom calls.
