I absolutely ADORE this dress and intend to eventually buy it in every color available. (I have already bought 4!) I know most people buy these for Renaissance faires - and I probably will wear them for that - but I bought them for everyday use and I love getting to walk around feeling like I stepped out of a fairytale ready to go running barefoot through a meadow. I particularly love the way the skirt itself has elastic along the tiers so that if you accidentally step on it going up stairs it has some give to it to keep it from tearing and/or immediately tripping you. They've got GREAT stretch for someone who's a bit on the larger side. I've been styling them with wide belts or under maxi wrap skirts with vests or loose cardigan sweaters over the top because it's cold right now. The fabric is lightweight without being too sheer though I am choosing to wear petticoats under then for warmth and just because I'm more comfortable wearing things with a bit more layers. I've complements on each one I've worn.
