Ok so the clips are strong and hold your jeans great, but they are also metal! Therefore hurt your ankles when they are pressed up against your sock with your boots. They come with this cheap foam with glue on one side so you can stick it to it so it doesn't hurt as much. It does help but they couldn't think of something else? I didn't know it came with these pieces, didn't see any one else mention them. They do a good job at holding your jeans down but not comfy. I added a pic of the clip and the little foam pieces so you can see it.
