These sit right above the belly button. Make sure you look at the measurements cause I didnt actually get my size based off what I wear in jeans. I went by the measurements, and these fit perfect. I usually wear a size 4 in jeans, but I got a size 6 in these. They dont squeeze my waist or make me feel uncomfortable while sitting at work. They are slightly lifted at the bottom, so they look dressy with heels. But you can make them more casual with flats or short boots.
