Unlike most people who 3d print things I am lazy. I also don't like to do things over and over again unless I feel like I am learning something new.So, for people who are new to the 3d printing world this is a great first upgrade for the plain ender 3. there are a lot of people on YouTube and elsewhere that can help with the somewhat difficult process of adjusting the firmware to make the BL-Touch work correctly which is a luxury item that makes *leveling* bed settings more efficient. But there are no free lunches in 3d printing I still need to keep an eye on how level the bed is every now and then and I have to take out time of each print to use the BL-touch for it to do it's magic.Yes, I know the word to use is "tramming” the bed, but the idea is that you are new to printing so just un-learn that word if you are a nerd and think like a normal person would.I think the printer is now quieter, but I don't really care about the sound that a printer makes I have one in my office, and it is still distracting. If I minded how distracting the printer is I would move it to a place where I did not care about the noise.One draw back to this board is that it uses the older mini-USB connection that are not that common anymore. And unlike the V3 you will need to block the power if you are connecting this board to Octoprint with a pi or other computer.Also I recommend that you get Octoprint on a Pi 3 or 4 or there might be a way to use an old smart phone to run this program. And do not get the touch screen upgrade. If you have Octoprint you will never use it.This board allows for some other upgrades that may be useful like dual Z stepper motors; which I think is worth doing just because it may allow me to print faster but I have not yet tried this.
