Bought this for 96 year old father-in-law who resides in a memory care unit and has falling issues. Anecdotally, we learned that it worked as advertised when he fell getting out of bed. It did a great job of cushioning his fall and he was unscathed. The angled edges allow him to easily transition on and off the mat using his walker especially since his average length of step is 2-4” and he only lifts his feet 1/2-1” off the floor with each step. Initially we thought of storing it under his bed when he wasn’t getting in and out of bed but found it works well leaving it in place and doesn’t present problems for him or his caregivers.
