I have multiple of the coiled bike locks -- that design is inconvenient to me to deploy the cable then take it apart -- they spring around bike racks, etc. to which you affix your cable. Not so with this Titanker Bike Chain-- MUCH easier to take off the bike, hook up and take apart. This model is heavier than a coil, but that is not much of a concern to me -- it might be to you. The numbers are big, easy to read, even in dim light and easy to rotate. The canvas cover over the chain seems to be sufficient to protect your bike's finish.
