My niece is 3.5 years old. We opened the toy together last week and even though she loves dinosaurs, the appeal of the toy wasn’t high. It took me 15 minutes to explain and show her how to screw the legs together. We took everything apart and I let her assemble the parts from the beginning. Once the Trex was all put together she walked him around the room for a little bit but lost interest. This toy might be revisited at a later date. I do think the size of the screws and colors are appropriate for her age and dexterity capabilities. This toy could be a good idea for a small reward of bday gift. I wouldn’t spend more than a few dollars on it though. It doesn’t capture the attention for very long especially when the child needs a lot of help with getting the screws started in the hole.
