I wanted to replace my metal skewers as they were catching rust at some places. This time I decided to try the wooden skewers as a better organic substitute. We grill maybe once or twice a week so this set of 150 skewers will last us a good time.Skewers new well made and perfect length to be used on charcoal grill or oven. Handing wood skewers is little different than metal ones. To prevent wooden skewers from burning. they need to be soaked in water for 30-40 min before use. I found that bamboo skewers holds food better than metal skewers. This could be because of the wood grains that gives some friction to hold food. Skewers are smooth and polished. They are pointed on one end so chicken pieces and other meat is easy to poke through. These are very good for individual portions and for parties and sticks can be prepared in advance and stored and grilled when needed.They cleaned well too. I did soak them in water before scraping the food off it. If handled well these can be used for few uses before disposing them.
