I spent days researching smart lighting products that would integrate easily with my Lutron dimmer switches and hub as well as Alexa/Echo. Why? Because we wanted a large range of operating options in our TV/Den room where our recliners are side by side. If WiFi is down, the Lutron dimmer switches operate the lights (or the Pico remote can do the job). We wired each light separately. each to their own Lutron Dimmer, so that we could control each light rather than being limited to having both lights set to the same level, more expensive definitely but we have the flexibility and range of light we were seeking. Hubby uses the remote, I use the voice, he has a reading light level set, mine is dim, perfect!
