I normally wear a medium or size 6 in pants and I weigh 130ish and have a 28" waist. According to the size chart I would take a Large and that is what I tried. The large is the right size and it does say 'slim fit' in the description. These are a very stretchy cotton poly spandex blend of ribbed knit which is very soft and comfortable. I machine washed and tumble dried them and they may have shrunk ever so slightly but no pilling or fading. These feel great as a base layer.
