I love these for fall and spring weather. I have used them for days when it is chilly in the morning but will be much warmer by the afternoon. It is great because they turn your short sleeved shirt into a long sleeves without having to wear/pack extra clothing. Once it gets too warm for them you just take them off and they fit into a pocket in your pants or backpack. I also use them when I drive so that I don't get a weird tan on one arm and keep the sun exposure down. The elastic is great - fits well enough to stay up but isn't so tight that it is uncomfortable. Great for cycling or running and it means you have a lot less to carry. I have also worn them under a jacket to make a light weight jacket warmer without the extra bulk
