I've worn all the expensive brands, Lulu, nike, etc - and these are SOOOOO great! I like them because they're not SO short, have great coverage and bigger leg holes, which make them super flattering to me. I'm 33, 5'2 and 125 lbs but I have chunky thighs that aren't so proportional and a super short waist. I like these because they sit at a good spot (not too high waisted) and they're airy and super light. I wear them for water sports and they're very quick to dry as well. I sized up to a medium solely because I like my shorts looser and the leg holes to be looser, but the small fit too.
