She wore them to school and then to play where we camped. The next day we hiked 10 miles and she had no complaints about her shoes. We did buy her tall women's bamboo hiking socks to help with any ankle rubbing from the boots.Her ankles did start to cramp the last mile or so, but she was climbing all over the canyon, so we will see on our next hikes if that is due to the terrain or the boots.
