I guess it would be fine for light resistance. I made the mistake of buying this to build muscle. It's clearly just made for psychical therapy though. I needed to add like 20+ rubber bands (it just comes with standard rubber bands) to make it at all useful. And getting the rubber bands on was a pain. It would have been ok if it were a one-time thing. But the rubber bands (the heaviest ones it came with) started breaking after the second use. On top of that, it was horribly uncomfortable to use. Again, it's probably fine with light resistance. I created a foam handle for it, but that didn't help much.
