Forget all the programmable, complicated gadgetry. This thing works on a simple, on-off principle. Best if you have 3 items like lamps in one area to operate. You want to keep the remote in one location and one location only. A very small item, the thing will inevitably get lost if moved around. Other than that, you have a simple, dependable way to turn things on and off. Don't even think about it, just buy it.
