After having the hammock just a day or two, I can only speak to its apparent quality "right out of the box" but it seems to be as advertised. I will say that I needed to drop one star in its rating, for a lot of extremely SHARP edges on the steel tubing, and it may have been nice if somewhere on the labels were a message like "CAUTION-- JAGGED EDGES! Wear work gloves while assembling this product!" or something to that effect. Though it's simple enough to put together, I still came away with two or three gashes, and one nasty metal splinter in my fingers and hands while handling it. Apart from that though, the canvas is heavy enough to work well, and has a comfortable feel to it, and the pillow is a nice touch. I presumed that it is reversible, though no indication in the very basic directions about that.
