I have cats in my house for almost 4 years. I tried a lot of cat litter and finally settled on this one. I have been using "Catsan Hygiene Plus" for three years already - and I am not going to change it, because I have not yet met the best one. I am attracted by the fact that its granules consist of environmentally friendly substances that do not poison the environment: sand and chalk. I select solid waste from the litter with a special scoop, hermetically pack it in zip bags that remain from the Grandorf cat food, and put it in the trash. And I pour the spent filler into a pile on my site (I live in a private house in the countryside). Over time, under the action of rain, the filler is washed off and again becomes snow-white, like new. I think that it can now be used as ordinary sand in construction (for example, for preparing concrete mortar for pouring foundations, etc.). Another advantage of this filler is that it absorbs odors better than other fillers. True, for this it is necessary that the cat completely buried its waste in the filler; if the waste remains on the surface, then the smell will still be. The filler is quite economical. Thus, a six-kilogram Siberian cat with a good appetite, a 10-liter bag with filler is enough for 30-50 days. I use a large basin as a tray, putting it in a large garbage bag (so that I don’t wash the basin later, but simply replace the bag). I “seal” the garbage bag on the side with a stationery stapler. I pour into the basin prepared in this way, first about one third of the filler package. Every day I pick out solid cat waste with a scoop. And I pour some fresh filler into the basin. When he began to act in this way, the consumption of the filler decreased markedly. Finally, "Catsan" fully satisfies my obligatory requirement: the absence of fragrances. I absolutely cannot stand the smell of synthetic fragrances that manufacturers add to many other fillers.
