The crystal ball it self is a beautiful piece. Clear, & much heavier then I expected.The stand however is another story. It was in two pieces when it arrived with sharp edges that had to be filedbefore I could glue it back together. I had read a number of other reviews so I was expecting as much. So got out the file &glue did the repair work & now have this beautiful crystal ball sitting on my coffee table. Even with having to do that minor repair, I can still recommend the crystal ball & that is what is getting the five star rating.
