I bought this as a gift, but decided to keep it after I tried it out. (The price is good enough I can afford to get another one as the intended gift). The light at one end helps me see small items that fall in hard to reach and/or dark places. I like how long the extendable handle is, and sometimes can use it to scoot the dropped item close enough for me to lean over and pick it up. The best part is the magnet that will pick up dropped needles, etc. Yesterday I accidentally knocked a box of 100 plus sewing pins onto a brown carpet. Without the magnetic reacher, I probably would still be stepping on pins.
