I had been giving my dog prescription meds for joint relief. This is what the doctor suspected w/o lots of testing. My dog yelped and walked gingerly for no reason. The doctor prescribed 2 different meds which worked well. However, when I took her back for renewal a different doc suggested trying an omega supplement. I had tried one in the past which didn't help. I purchased this one based on content, reviews/price. I transitioned my dog from the prescription meds to this supplement and she did fine. She is still doing well and I am not giving her any of the meds now. I feel better about her taking this vs the side effects of the medication she was taking. I do have to mix it in her food. She won't eat it out of my hand so she doesn't like the smell or something. My other dog will eat anything so no issues with her. I guess she is just picky. I would try this product if your dog is having any issues with suspected joint/aging issues. My dog is 10 years old too.
