The product is functional but doesn't work as well as I had hoped.I installed it in my garage to have the lights turn on automatically when I walk in the door or pull my car into the garage. When I enter the room myself, it detects the motion and works quite well.but it *doesn't* detect the motion of the garage door opening or a car entering the garage. It doesn't detect motion until I open the car door and step out of the car. (Which is on the opposite side of the car from where the switch faces. Weird.)So the function isn't as much a "motion" sensor as it is a "body heat/human presence" sensor.The motion detection is less consistent than I had hoped. Sometimes it works perfectly and the lights come on the moment I enter the garage. But then sometimes the lights don't come on until I'm 10-15 feet into the dark garage. (The switch is 20-25 feet from garage door).Note that the switch only scans for motion parallel to the level where the switch is mounted on the wall or below.it doesn't scan upward. If you mount it at the bottom of a set of stairs, it only detects motion on the last few steps; it won't detect a person coming down the steps until they're nearing the bottom.Another important note: The included wiring diagram in the package is slightly different from the online diagram.and the diagram in the package is WRONG. It shows the white wire connecting to ground, which creates a dead short. (No bueno!)
