This is a solid toy for your cat. Most cat toys will get torn apart after they have been used for a day or two. This toy is solid, and will stay together. The features to attract the cat are the catnip inside and a bell. The goal is for the cat to clean his teeth while he chews on the toy. My cat is an older cat, and was definitely interested in the catnip inside the toy, but smart enough to know that he wouldn't get to it by chewing. This might work better with a younger cat, especially a kitten, who was more curious and active.
