I got 21s even though lactation consultant told me to use 24 flanges from medela. These are way more comfortable for nipple size as well as having the silicone rim. The neck is longer than flanges that came with my pump which I like. I’ve noticed I am able to empty my breast way more effectively with these vs the ones that came with the pump. The silicone is not attached and does sometimes get milk trapped under it. Not a huge deal, I just had to make sure to tell my husband to remove the rim to clean because he helps me wash pump parts. If you aren’t careful to clean that properly, I could see it developing mildew quickly however. Easily remedied by using proper cleaning practices.
