Thermal Monitoring Technologies, an Intel proprietary technology, drives the Pentium Dual-Core E6xx processors. A thermal sensor can be put in the CPU to keep tabs on its internal temperature. And when the indications get too high, the built-in protection will lower the supply voltage and the clock speed of the processor so that the CPU may cool down without disrupting your work.
Technology for Intel® Virtualization (VT-x). Technology traditionally reserved for high-end processors (the Core 2 Duo E8200 and later) has made its way down to the Pentium Dual-Core E6X00 series.
