my son and I had too much fun making cotton candy with this. the machine does all of the work! when I ordered this I didn't know anything about sugar floss so I went online and found out it's favored sugar in smaller granules. online said it was okay to use regular cane sugar so that's what we used and it turned out great! if you love cotton candy-like my husband you have to try it fresh. It's completely better plus you get to make it yourself any time! When I was doing research online I came across all sorts of makes and models but I genuinely think that this model here was better quality than all of them home c c makersI will say I understand why it's recommended to use sugar floss instead of regular cane sugar. there were big bites of sugar that didn't fluff.super easy to clean a couple of spritzes of water a quick wipe and your done
