My hair is thick, curly and wavy. I normally keep it short and most brushes are useless with my hair type. I use boar hair brushes that are stiff so it can actually get through my hair. This one is a nice, high quality brush. The appearance is top notch and the pictures don't do it any justice. I recently got another one that looks almost the same, the only difference I can see is that the bristles are stiffer on the other one. Not a problem for me at all since this does the job fine. I may save the other one for when my hair is longer. Overall, the look, feel and performance is great - I'm a fan of it.
