If I were the designer or inventor of this product, I’d be so mad and disappointed. Some bean counter took a wonderful idea and ruined with a cheap part!Bought the recliner size. There is an elastic strap, which goes around the back to secure the cover to the top of recliner. On either side of this elastic strap is a metal buckle or hook, which slides into a long loop sewn onto either side of the cover, securing it to the back of the recliner.When it’s time to wash, this buckle/hook slides out so you can just remove the cover and not the strap. No "bang, bang, bang” in the washer or dryer!The problem is, this buckle part is so flimsy it easily bends once any pressure is applied, such as you sitting in the chair and move around a little. Not good!Researching a replacement part brings up the names "G Buckle” and "9 Hook.” (Which makes sense, as this part does looks like a lowercase g or a 9.) A better quality buckle meant for backpacks, luggage, or aviation is available, but you can only buy them in large quantities. On the hunt for a couple of these. The 50mm ought to do the trick.In the meantime, did find another workaround. Bought a couple of carabiners to replace the flimsy hooks. Not as nice of a solution, but working so far. Just clip the flimsy hook and remove, then slip the carabiner into the strap loop and then into the cover loop. Adjust the elastic strap and you are in the recliner covering business!As to the cover material, it’s lightweight, seems to be waterproof, and looks nice enough for what it is. It has grippy material underneath, which is a bit squeaky on leather furniture, but not too bad.
