it seems to be a nice note book cover, I wasn't really sure what moleskin was. It is nice but more pliable that i had hoped for. I'll carry it with a field notebook in my pocket daily. I am afraid that it will get bent up. with the pen in place, it doesn't fold well, but i carefully removed the pen loop. It seems to work better. It is a nice color and seems to be well built for a 20$ cover
- The cover gets better with age
- Can be difficult to re-sell or give as a gift
