Works great but confusing user experience

This timer works well, but here's the confusing part. The main blue LED light on it stays ON when it's not in use. The light actually goes off only for the few minutes that it's on. This is confusing when you first use it. The other issue I have is that I bought it as an energy-saving device for my bathroom fans. So, the fact that the tiny LED light stays on constantly bothers me. There is also a second blue LED light which indicates how many minutes the timer switch will stay on, which you can select from 6 options. So, these two are always on. It' only a trickle to keep the LED lights on, but still, it feels wrong!
