I bought these to fit my 2012 Cadillac CTS-V with a set of Verde V99 wheels that were installed by the previous owner. Let me preface this with I had been at my wit’s end trying to fix an out of balance/steering wheel shimmy at 85mph (new tires and balanced, alignment, checked bushings, etc). Doing more research I saw where people were having similar issues at various speeds with aftermarket wheels that were not using hub centric spigot rings. The problem with mine is it had them installed, but they were plastic (and yes they were the correct size). So I decided what the heck, these aluminum rings are cheap enough and if they fix my problem then GREAT! Well sure enough, these things did take care of the issue. The car now drives smoother at all speeds, and most noticeable at the 80-85mph issue speed. I read a lot of banter about plastic vs. metal, and I can definitely say that the metal ones worked much better for me having used both now. I can only think that the rigidity of the aluminum ones kept things in alignment better where the plastic ones may have been compressing more with the torsion force of the wheel. Oh, and I also applied a very thin layer of anti-seize compound to both inner and outer mating surfaces. I'm not sure how necessary that was, but maybe it will keep the corrosion away so they do not get stuck.
