I have a small house,and I needed extra space for my guest to sleep. By attaching paxcoo to the sofa and ottoman I got a queen size bad. If you do not need a bad it’s still great because the ottoman doesn’t slide away from the sofa. If not needed and want to keep the ottoman totally separate, you just unhook it. If the look of the clip bothers you, just paint it the same color as the sofa upholstery or put a throw blanket over it. Great and simple gadget makes all the difference. Highly recommend it. It’s very sturdy.
