These are a decent pair of your classic short shorts! The black is a very pretty color and will go great with my outfits. Fits true to size and is indeed high-waisted, which is my favorite type of look for shorts.However this has a little more hanging fabric than is shown for the design I chose. 2 single pieces of string went all the way down to my mid thigh. I would just cut it off but I worry it may unravel in other places so I may have to do a small stitch on the inside to fix it.The frayed look at the hem of the shorts is very cute, and adds a bit of a unique flair compared to folded up jean shorts, which is nice for a change. The button is also a dark color and doesn't take away from the all-black look.Overall a nice pair of shorts that are comfortable to wear!
