Work best on flat surfaces

We just got new floors at our house and wanted these to help furniture move easier without scuffing up the floor. They work just fine on the couches and recliner, but on the kitchen table chairs they fall don't stick as well. Honestly, I assume it is because those chairs are angled and when you push them in it causes the pads to move on the bottom of the chair. We also have dogs that shed a lot and I'm taking that as a factor as well. Overall, these get the job done.
