So I’m in the medical field and I was looking forward to definitely getting a quality otoscope. But when I saw this on Ebay, I was so for it. Traditionally we use the hand held otoscope but this was so easy to use and gave great imaging to the ear drum. Backstory: my sister is a swim instructor and was having ear pain + sensation of fluid stuck + dizziness + drainage. She went to go see urgent care and the provider said it was otitis externa and gave antibiotic drops. Didn’t mention any perforation. After she used the antibiotic drops she told me she could taste it, which was odd because you shouldn’t be tasting it unless there was a connecting hole from outside of ear to inside of ear which the ear drum separates. Despite using the drops, she still complained of feeling like water was stuck in her ear and some drainage. Took a look inside with this awesome camera and bam, huge perforation of the ear with inflamed ear canal. Honestly one of my best purchases. Sometimes ear pathology can be missed with a traditional otoscope but this was amazing. 5/5 🙌🏾
