Confirming other reviewers' notes, I found one size up fit me well (for length, not just padding). When the slippers first arrived, the padding was so thick that I had to pull the slippers on by hand, but within a few days the padding packed down and I was able to step in and out of the slippers easily (which is what I wanted). They don't feel as cushiony once the padding packs down, but they stay on for all the endless up/downstairs trips I make (still true after several weeks of wear), and the fabric isn't unduly stifling in summer. The soles are great. Note that there's no arch support; if that's important to you, I'd recommend something else. But if you want a simple pair of hard-soled slippers with closed backs, these work well.
