Love this watch, its minimalist design, lightweight, sapphire crystal, solar, all great. The problem is the band. It is very sleek and comfortable, but the fastener comes apart at the slightest contact. I have seen the watch go hurtling to the ground many times because the band does not secure properly. At least twice I have lost the watch and had to go find it because the band came loose pretty much on its own, without being bumped or jarred. The watch it light so if you are not paying attention or used to wearing a more traditional watch, you may not notice it slip off.Bering wants $49 for a new band, but I'm not sure that would even solve the issue. The issue is with the design of the clasp, it is not rugged enough or durable enough. On my watch, it simply does not secure the watch to my wrist during normal activities. It is a unique band with what looks like unique style attachment, so I may have to bite the bullet and pay Bering the $49, but again, this has been an issue since I've had the watch, so I don't think simply a new band would solve it, unless the clasp were upgraded somehow.Too bad, because I do like the watch, but feel like I can't wear it outside because it will fall off and break or become lost. The clasp is just cheap and not up to their other standards.
