This is an extremely well made example of a 7-inch Santoku knife. I love the contour of the handle, and the heft you get which I'm sure is due, in part, to the full-tang construction. This knife came pre-sharpened and it is razor sharp. The pattern from the Damascus steel is subtle, subdued and yet appealing. We're looking forward to getting years of service from this knife. The only thing this Santoku knife lacks that I have seen on others are the dimples that would run the length of the knife, which are purported to aide with the release of the food you just sliced.
